Under the Hospital Lab Management model, PHC sets up laboratories in newly built hospitals as well as helps in maintaining laboratories in the existing hospitals. Upon agreement with the hospital they provide space and other utilities, while PHC is responsible for providing the diagnostic equipment and meeting the costs relating to personnel, purchase of equipment, training of manpower, and other administrative responsibilities pertaining to the laboratory.
PHC adopts a 360-degree approach to laboratory services. It offers a comprehensive array of tests across a wide spectrum including biochemistry, haematology, immunology, and serology. PHC is equipped to cater to a range of medical establishments, ranging from 20-bed clinics to medical colleges with 750 beds. As of January 2023, PHC has 87 laboratories under the Clinical Lab Management model.
